Quidditch

Quidditch
Wizard sport. Played up in the air on broomsticks. Two teams. Each team has seven players. Four different-sized balls. At either end of the field are three 50 feet high golden poles with hoops on the end. Quidditch only ends when the Snitch is caught. There are 700 ways of committing a foul.

Four Balls

Quaffle
Bright red ball about the size of a soccer ball.
Two Bludgers
Jet-black and slightly smaller than the red Quaffle. Rocket around, trying to knock players off their brooms.
Golden Snitch
Tiny, about the size of a large walnut. Bright gold. Has little fluttering silver wings. Very fast.

Seven players

Three Chasers
Throw the Quaffle to each other and try to get it through one of the hoops to score a goal (10 points).
Keeper
Guards the goal posts. Flies around the hoops to stop the other team from scoring.
Two Beaters
Try to protect their team from the Bludgers. Try to knock the Bludgers towards the other team.
Seeker
Has to catch the Golden Snitch.
