Opera 6.02 Preview 5 for Linux build 192 -- Changelog
For the first time, Opera releases public previews of Opera for Linux and full changelogs. These previews have not been tested as much as they would have been if they had been official releases. They have only been announced to some Opera newsgroups and mailing lists. Don't forget Backing up important files before you install any update.
CHANGELOG
- Fixed a password dialog problem (crash).
- A few more configurable shortcuts enabled (for the document popup menus)
- Using bold font in pref box treelist on group folders.
- Folder nodes in the treelist view can now be opened/closed by a single mouse press on the folder pixmap.
- Fixed a problem that caused Ctrl+Shift+Tab to stop working. This was broken right before preview 4 even if had worked on it and fixed it the beginning of the last week (arrg)
- Fixed problem that caused focus to be lost in the F2 box when the autocompletion dropdown box was removed. This happens if the window manager is running in a mode where it gives focus to popup windows.
- Fixed a problem that cause wrong window list history (ie a wrong window was activated when another was closed. It happend when windows were opened in the background.
- Fixed a problem that cause an infinite number of javascript error boxes to be displayed thereby blocking the UI.
-
Support for passing raw mailto urls. The new flags are:
- %r (raw) - The raw url. The result will always start with "mailto:"
- %w (raw) - As %r but without the "mailto:" prefix.
- In the script error dialog box the Cancel button will now terminate scripts and Ok continue scripts.
- Fixed a problem that caused print preview cycling of a framed document not to finish with a normal mode display. This would lock us into a print preview mode.
- concurrent file transfers of the same URL. It used to crash. It still doesn't work properly (core issue)
- tons of ecmascript error dialog boxes blocking Opera. Some webpages were able to leave Opera in an infinite loop of ecmascript error dialog boxes. Even if the dialog box is modal, the message loop still has to run (paint events etc.), which means that the ecmascript engine too is still running, generating more error dialog boxes before the user is able to close the one already displayed. This has been solved by suspending and resuming the MessageHandler while the dialog box is shown. This will block Opera specific messages. System messages (like paint events etc.) will still go through.
- DOM related crash (http://www.endemol.com/)
- Fixed text search problems (like searching for "scroll" in Opera's online help for keyboard shortcut (the thing that pops up when pressing Ctrl+B) etc.)
- Improved /etc/printcap parsing to allow for a slightliy modified file format.
- Text properties "bleeding" to the next page. This one is hard to reproduce, but a similar bug was reported on EPOC some months ago.
- Added new root certificates for Entrust
