Opera 6.1 Preview 4 for Linux build 263 -- Changelog
Don't forget Backing up important files before you install any update.
We have prepared a package for Red Hat 8.0, Mandrake 9.0 and SuSE 8.1 for those of you using those distributions.
The package is build with qt-mt 3.0.5 using gcc 3.2 and with rtti support. The rtti support is important for KDE style support.
We have not tested this on SuSE 8.1 yet so if you do please report your observations.
I would also like to know if you have problems with KDE style integration.

Changelog since 6.1 Beta 1
Platform

Styles/skin
- Fixed a style problem (in Keramik) that caused the zoom dropdown box to be too narrow.
- Fixed a layout problem in the address toolbar that was noticeable when using Windows or MotifPlus style.
- Fixed a problem that caused some black areas when using the external Liquid style (and some other styles).

Plug-ins
- Plug-in fix. We assigned "Ask user" to the plug-in action to too many mime types when searching for plug-ins on the system.
- Fixed a problem that could cause mouse events sent to a plug-in to be used on the regular document page. This would in some cases trigger unwanted scrolling.
Keyboard
- Fixed a TAB traversal problem in the transfer window. The TAB chain could be broken under certain circumstances.
- Made Shift+Click (open in new window) and Ctrl+Shift+Click (open in background) work again when clicking on form buttons
- Added support for go to next and previous panel with configurable shortcuts. There are no default shortcuts. It is configured in Shortcuts | Navigation in the shortcut editor.
Focus
- Do not move focus to the biggest frame of a document if the keyboard focus is already within the document when the search dialog box is opened.
Fonts
- Fixed a problem that caused a point value of 12 not to be restored properly in the "Minimum font size" setting.
- Display proper font size in the font preview edit field that is used a number of places in Opera.
Various
- Improved support for dragging Transfer and Hotlist window buttons
- The window list dialog will now manage the transfer window in SDI mode as well
- The current settings in the print dialog are now saved before printing starts.
- Fixed a problem that caused the progress indication to remain after an external program had loaded the file.
- Fixed a problem that caused an endless loop in the back-menu setup code in duplicated framed windows.
- Fixed a bookmark problem. It was possible to add bookmarks and contacts with multiline text strings. That could not be displayed properly on the personal bar and in the hotlist.
